* Individual Asana Basis - at davannayoga Shala we adjust the practice for the unique needs of each student. This is a traditional way of learning Asana, and requires the teacher be skilled in the art of assessment and adjustment. Also it requires the teacher to be intuitive to the needs of the students who enter, and adjust the class to offer many variations of skill and depth.

Esta es una manera tradicional de aprender el asana y requiere un maestro con dominio en el arte de asistir y ajustar la postura. También se necesita un maestro sensible a las necesidades de los estudiantes que entran en la clase y ajustar la misma ofreciendo diferentes variantes en forma e intensidad.






davannayoga™ for Children / Yoga para Niños

Description:

Anna begins by teaching the children about yoga, and how they can incorporate yoga into all they do. The class always includes an energetic set of games, asana-based stories, meditation and prana practice, and happy visualizations. Kids love the class. Anna is the mother of three children who practice yoga on a regular basis and have much input into her practice with children.

davannayoga™ For Pre-natal

Description

Anna has practiced yoga during three pregnancies and knows first hand what feels great to be doing when you are pregnant. She also knows how to have a safe yoga practice during this time when your condition can change from day to day. In the pre-natal practice, emphasis is put on finding new spaces for you and baby, strengthening the muscles used to push in labor, strengthening the pelvic floor, creating stamina, and practicing meditation tools and breath for labor. If you have young children, they may join the class.

Power Hour/Hora dinámica

Description

This is a vigorous set of flowing vinyasas connected by breath and intention. The practice begins with prana and bandha preparation and moves into Ashtanga-inspired asanas in a flowing sequence. The set includes traditional core strengthening asanas, basic arm balances and inversions.

Yogic Arts™

Description

The Yogic Arts™ system is comprised of the sequencing of classical standing asanas [poses], infused with martial art and modern dance stance integrations, therapeutic kicking drills, a core floor workout, a deeply therapeutic hip and shoulder opening sequence, and a traditional vinyasic finishing practice, which includes elements of Thai massage and guided meditation. Open Flow Vinyasa

Description

We will move through flowing vinyasa postures with attention to our breath. This class will help you reach the synchronicity of mind, body, and spirit. Each class is distinct and multi-level and taught on an *Individual Asana Basis.

Morning Yoga/ Yoga de la Manana

Description:

You will gently encourage circulation in the muscles and train the breath for the day ahead. Gentle yoga is combined with stretches to create the mind-body-spirit synchronicity leaving you feeling Yoga Good all day long!

Hatha Yoga

Description

Hatha yoga acts as a way of progressive development in those who practice the principles of Sthira and Sukha (strength and flexibility, consistent and comfortable), attaining a body that is completely healthy. The asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) of Hatha Yoga reunite and balance the body, mind and emotions bringing the practitioner to their natural state of well being.

EL Hatha Yoga actúa de manera progresiva desarrollando en quien lo practica los principios de Sthira y Sukha (fuerza y flexibilidad, constancia y comodidad), logrando un cuerpo sano en su totalidad. Por medio de la practica de asanas (posturas) y pranayama (ejercicios respiratorios) el Hatha Yoga re-une y equilibra cuerpo, mente y emociones devolviendo al hombre su estado natural de bienestar.
