The goal of this workshop is to use meditation and mindfulness as practical tools to become more aware during our daily activities.
Mindfulness is a mind-body approach to life that a rapidly-expanding body of research is suggesting can help people manage a range of physical and mental health problems as well as promoting general well-being.
This workshop will give a basic introduction to meditation, including breath and posture. We will practice different styles of meditation including: Breathing, Walking, eating meditations and a body scan for deep relaxation. Each activity will be followed by a short discussion and chance for questions.
This is a workshop that is for anybody who wants to improve their health, peace of mind, and relationships with others. NO Previous Experience Necessary!

Biography of Saeed Ghaffari
Saeed Ghaffari has been meditating for the past 10 years. He is also human and realizes that being human and wanting to meditate don’t always blend so easily. He will show you how to be mindful in everyday activities which leads to mindfulness meditation. Saeed can help you begin a meditation practice, give tips when things get rocky and celebrate with you when your meditation is going smoothly. He can give help in both Spanish and English. Saeed teaches in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hahn and has taken many meditation retreats in this tradition as well as workshops and trainings.
