Yoga is a wonderful path to remember our true essence. Peace, harmony and love is our natural state of being. I aim to make all my students feel good in their bodies and know that they are perfect just the way they are. Emphasizing Metta (Loving kindness) and ahimsa (non-violence) even if you are doing the most demanding asanas!!

When I teach Yoga I want people to experience yoga as a way of life, learning how to balance mind, body and soul in order to have a more fulfilling life. I use Yoga as the aid of mental and physical exercises to become aware of our true divine self by emphasizing the importance of the mind remaining calm, because as the saying goes, only when the water is still can you see through it.

Yoga is my refuge. The perfect silent place to contact with my Self specially during difficult times. Yoga has become essential in my life, not only for my well being but also for everyone around me. If I can plant the seed of yoga in only one person it will be worth the joyful effort of teaching!

The flexibility you obtain in your body during your yoga practice, will lead you to flexibility in your thoughts, in your tolerance , in acceptance. It is a practice in learning through your breath to live here and now.

Simply that the student will leave class with more awareness and compassion. The love shared in class by students and teachers is infectious and it is an honor to be able to share it with the world. I teach so that students may feel more connected and/or inspired by themselves, others and the natural world.

Yoga is for EVERYBODY. Give a chance for yoga to transform your day into helping you to feel "yoga good" (as Anna says).
I teach what I feel comes out of my spirit and my heart. I teach with spontanaety. I feel the energy of the class and go with it. Every class I teach humbles me by giving me more knowledge and experience. It doesn't matter if I'm teaching a beginner, advanced practitioner, a child or senior citizen, I know that they are all equal and all have something to teach me.

If you keep an internal drishti, it will become the same as lighting a candle called Prana. This is the beginning of your yogic path, this will help you to know your Self.

Yoga to me is about being fully present. Avoiding nothing and enjoying this journey! I try to go and act everyday as the Mother Teresa said: "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier"

Yoga practice needs to be progressive in order to achieve a connection between body, mind and spirit. While practicing Yoga one needs to be constantly aware of your breath and wellness. Your body needs to be listened to, treated with love, respect and kindness.

As a teacher of art and yoga, I enjoy using my creativity, a sense of playfulness, and a focus on relaxation to guide practice. Yoga is for everyone, not just for the flexible! We are all individuals and our yoga practice allows us to tune in with that individuality. It is essential to me, that my students feel comfortable and are having an enjoyable time in class. Life can be stressful and painful, but practicing yoga can bring us the relaxation and joy we seek in our lives. I hope to see you on the mat in the future! Namaste.

My yoga mat has become a security blanket to me: it is a safe place to honor myself, nourish my inner strength, and free myself from doubts. I started yoga because it was the only non-competitive form of exercise that I truly could enjoy, and now yoga continually inspires me to feel strong, healthy, and flexible in my daily life as well as on the mat.

Yoga can be and is whatever you need it to be. It's so flexible of a practice that you never feel excluded due to religious affiliation or your social group. It can be a great refuge for those seeking social/emotional/mental shelter/support, and it can be a great workout. It truly connects your mind and body. For me, it's a beautiful place I can go to whenever I need my mind to stop racing, my heart to heal, and my body to strengthen.

Yoga teaches us how to interlace the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of our life. It´s a science that AWAKENS OUR CONSCIOUSNESS making us present. Through BREATH we focus our mind, flowing with our bodies, making ourselves more healthy, agile and flexible.

I teach with the love, compassion and understanding that yoga brings. I believe yoga can be adapted to anybody and help to improve the life of all. I LOVE yoga and I’ll try to make others see why as best I can. Through yoga, people can experience change in body and mind. Take each posture with a smile and feel how it feels to be present here and NOW.

When I started yoga, like many people, thought it was just about being flexible and the pursuit of poses. I immediately realized that yoga was much more, but I still didn’t yet know what "the much more" really was. So I practiced sporadically for many years, always loving how I felt after yoga, but for some unknown reason, never committing to the practice on a more intense or regular level. After incurring a fairly serious back injury, I was inspired to find ways to learn and explore ways to incorporate mind, energy, and positive thinking into the healing process. This led me back to yoga with a completely new awareness. Physically, while of course yoga helps with flexibility and strengthens our bodies, in my classes I emphasize more the aspects of yoga that bring us balance, connectedness, patience and awareness to our bodies and mind to allow for amazing energy to flow through both.

I have been practicing yoga on and off for as long as I remember, starting with imitating my mother as a small child while she practiced every morning.
I kept my practice intermittently through many moves and changes in my life and I came to realize that yoga was the only physical activity I was practicing that gave me that something extra, that feeling of joy and peace and wholeness. This led me to complete my teacher training in the Vinyasa Flow style with the inspiring Anna Laurita at Davannayoga. I can't wait to share my love of yoga and the transformation it can bring.
Yoga is an awareness. It is the awareness of the body, mind, and soul. Through pranayama, meditation, and asanas we can practice this awareness. Yoga gives us the tools, and it is through consistent and constant practice that we can start to search for and find truth.

Yoga is a path by which to heal oneself. I believe we take from it what we need at the moment, whether that be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual guidance. The blissful feeling after yoga practice reflects a connection with our true selves, like briefly rejoining a clear path through the tangled forest of life. What freedom there is in that!

Yoga to me is love. My goal is to reflect that as much as possible through my classes and my own practice. My long love for exploring how the body moves and the shapes it makes led me to completing a degree in kinesiology at UBC. I try to bring this physical awareness into my classes through a strong and sweaty asana practice, focusing on alignment. After years of competing in high performance sports and studying the body from such a physical perspective, I found yoga as a refuge to “just be,” and start experiencing the other beautiful qualities of mind, body, spirit and emotion that the body also holds. I like my classes to be fun and playful, sharing a space where everyone laughs, cries, breathes and LOVES as one.

Willis believes that yoga is life and life is yoga and feels that you can learn a lot about yourself and others by regularly coming to your mat, thus contributing to the greater good via awareness, compassion, patience…the list goes on. His teaching style is fun and creative with great focus on the movement/breath connection. To Willis, transitions can be just as important as the postures, so prepare to feel the beauty in the “in betweens”—for life is about the journey and not the destination. Come flow, feel, and go deeper into your own yoga practice in a supportive environment with some rockin’ jams and an inspirational vibe. hootie-hoo!!!!!!!!

Yoga can help you connect with your self on a physical, mental and spiritual level by listening to your body, feeling the flow of the prana you can discover the rhythm within you.
By beening present in the Now, the rest of the world disappears and you become one with yourself. This practice reminds us that we are part of something much grater that ourselfs.

My philosophy is to teach the essence of yoga through conscious breath and correct alignment, while also guiding students to feel comfortable and steadiness in each asana. Through the practice of yoga, students will explore the self, both physically and with the mind. The benefit of yoga is about the lifelong journey within each person, step by step in their own practice.

My goal is that all students leave feeling stronger and more open, physically and mentally. Nothing makes me happier than to look around mid class and see everyone smiling and sweating. Yoga is a great way to be healthy and connect with your higher self and the universal consciousness. I want everyone to leave my classes feeling nurtured and 'blissed out'.

Yoga meets us where we are; without judgment. Bringing this simple concept to our practice will enable the embodiment of Ramaswari's four parameters of yoga steadiness, comfort, smoothness of breath and unwavering focus on breath. With steadiness and comfort brings lightness and awareness in the body an spirit. A practice like this, that nurtures and supports the individual, will build a stronger whole.

For me, yoga is a way to practice being a better human. I love that yoga creates community, brings self love and love for others. Yoga is a place to drop the ego and fill that space with enjoying who you are, and where you are at in that exact moment.

You don't need to be flexible to start yoga! Just be flexible in your mind! Yoga isn’t just a work out, it is a work in! I am blessed to share my practice and my knowledge and wish that all my students find peace, a healthy heart and body, and a smile on their face after we practice together!
