5 Day Ayurveda & AyurYoga Immersion

The davannayoga Ayurveda & Ayuryoga Training is a 5-day immersive adventure into the rich traditions and technology of the Ayurvedic healing system.

A highly experiential deep dive, this training will inspire you to refresh your approach to health and wellbeing, and awaken to new layers of motivation and healing in your Yoga practice.

By infusing Ayurvedic knowledge into your Yogic lifestyle, you will further enhance what Sri. K Patthabi Jois meant when he said – “Do your practice, and all is coming.”

This immersion is taught by Andrew Dowdy, E-RYT 200 | RYT 500, YACEP and 750-hour Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. He has a passion for nature-based healing, ancestral spirituality, and break-through health and wellness practices that work.

He believes that we are each responsible for doing our part to make a more creative and compassionate culture – and that caring for ourselves is the fundamental place to start. Sharing Ayurveda and Ayuryoga, integrating new tools into your personal wellness toolbelt, and teaching you methods to further your own Yoga, health and healing path is how Andrew dreams positive change into being every day.

This training welcomes Yoga practitioners and teachers from any lineage and forms part of the davannayoga 300-hr RYT Yogic Lifestyle and Advanced Training Program. Participants should have a personal Yoga practice and a commitment to showing up for self-care, allowing us all to go deeper into the healing journey.

He completed his 200 YTT with Anna Laurita of davannayoga, who he thanks dearly for laying the foundations for his teaching and drive for consistent personal and professional development. In November, 2021, he also became a proud RYT 500, having completed his 300-hour YTT in Forrest Yoga. He offers deep gratitude for the lessons and practices handed down by Forrest Yoga founder Ana Forrest, co-creator Jose Calarco, and Forrest Yoga Guardians Jambo Truong, Sandra Robinson, Brian Campbell, Darin Volwiler, Denise Hopkins and Heidi Sormaz.
With a passion for ancestral wisdom and natural medicine, he also logs 750-hours under his Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification. From his love for keeping bodies happy, healthy and in-motion, he also went on to learn Embodied Anatomy with Yoga teacher and Bodyworker Lillee Chandra. In search of sharing more body-bliss, he went one step further getting certified under the guidance of teachers Brian Campbell and Jambo Truong in Yoga Bodywork, a unique blend of bodywork techniques taught through a Yogic movement lens, including myofascial release therapy, trigger point therapy, meridians, craniosacral therapy, Swedish and deep tissue techniques.
PHILOSOPHY
Andrew believes that Yoga and Ayurveda, along with other ancestral healing and spiritual technologies, offer countless tools that can be harnessed to deeply transform not only our individual lives, but our collective future. His teaching philosophy is based on the idea that every time we step onto the mat, we are practicing unlearning our barriers to evolution and remembering how to connect to what matters to us the most.
He feels that Yoga teaches us to embody our values, and offers us a sanctuary to practice healing and cultivating the strength we need to live a life of greater truth, love and spirit. Life has shown him a deep appreciation for the degree of grit it takes to cultivate a soft, open heart in today’s world. Andrew’s teaching blends deep embodiment and spirituality – at once compassionate, yet intentionally challenging.
